It has been 20 years since Connect first opened its doors to the community and offered general counselling within a Christian ethos to individuals adults.

As the years have gone by, Connect has developed and grown and we now include counselling to couples and families as well as individuals.
We have grown in number too and have 32 counsellors currently volunteering their time and expertise to Connect on a weekly basis.
As well as developing the counselling on offer, the management team at Connect continues to ensure that Connect remains professional and current at all times. Our Counselling Team Manager Wendy sets up regular training workshops for both the counsellors at Connect as well as those working in the locality to ensure good continued professional development is available and utilised by our counsellors. Application has been made and we are now awaiting our service accreditation from the BACP, our counselling professional body.
However, our development and growth would not have been possible without the continued support of churches and individuals as well as a board of Trustees who have devoted themselves to the work and vision for the organisation.
It is a combination of all those behind the scenes, the office staff, the volunteers and the supervisors who all go towards supporting the counsellors in the work that they do and along with the essential financial and prayer support, it allows our amazing counsellors to work with those who are hurting and struggling and bring hope and support to the difficulties they face.

It is incredible to think that 20 years has gone by already and we plan to continue in the work set before us, with God’s blessing and your support, we hope to remain active and relevant to the fellowships and the community we serve.
